Deep Sea Fishing On Your Mauritius Vacation

For the thrill of a lifetime, you must try deep-sea fishing on Mauritius! Deep-sea fishing is one of the most exciting adventures you can possibly have, so it is absolutely essential that you schedule some time for it when you are planning your Mauritius vacation.

Mauritius holds some world records in the sport of deep-sea fishing. In addition to having types of fish that are not readily available in other areas, Mauritius also has varieties of fish that are popular in many other locations, but bigger and better. A mako shark that weighed in at 1115 pounds is a nice example of Mauritius' abundance of big fish!
Fishing in Mauritius
If fishing for tuna could appeal to you, you might be interested to learn that Mauritius has claimed yellow tuna and white tuna of well over two hundred pounds each! If you enjoy fishing at all, there is no way that you will not be impressed by Mauritius' history of world records, but also by what you yourself can look forward to when you plan to do some deep-sea fishing during your vacation on Mauritius.

When you place deep-sea fishing on your priority list of activities you wish to take part in during your vacation, you will have the chance to try your luck with sharks, barracuda, blue and black marlin, tuna, skipjack, sailfish, wahoo, and many other kinds of fish.

You will be able to rent a fishing boat at your hotel; these are specially designed for deep-sea fishing. At one kilometre off the coast, the water is seventy metres in depth, making it ideal for fishing. The fishing boats are fully stocked with fishing equipment as well as ship-to-shore radios for your basic safety. Some rentals also include beverages for your enjoyment during your fishing journey.

Although deep-sea fishing is a spectacular experience at any time of the year, the very best results generally occur between October and April. If your trip must be scheduled at a different time of the year, don't let it deter you from putting deep-sea fishing on your itinerary, because both the experience and the results will be exciting regardless of your schedule.

The most important fishing centres are to be found in the west.
